To prevent polyester knitted sofa fabrics from wrinkling or deforming, the following treatment measures can be taken:
1. Fabric selection and pretreatment
Choose high-quality fabrics:
Choose specially treated polyester knitted fabrics, which usually have better wrinkle resistance and shape retention.
Preshrinkage treatment:
Preshrinkage treatment is performed before fabric production or processing, and the shrinkage of the fabric after immersion in water is reduced by physical methods to reduce the shrinkage rate and prevent deformation.
2. Production process optimization
Heat setting treatment:
The heat setting process is added during the fabric production process to make the shape of polyester fibers and their blends or interwovens relatively stable. This helps to improve the dimensional stability of the fabric and reduce deformation caused by heat shrinkage.
Reasonable use of softeners:
During the fabric finishing process, use special polyester anti-wrinkle softeners in the same bath, such as GRISEX G-3196. These softeners not only provide a soft and smooth feel, but also effectively prevent creases and deformation. When using, dilution and processing must be carried out according to the product instructions.
3. Post-maintenance and care
Proper cleaning:
Use a cleaning method with a water temperature below 40℃ to avoid deformation of the fabric caused by high-temperature cleaning. At the same time, use neutral detergent to reduce damage to the fabric.
Avoid exposure to the sun:
Avoid direct exposure to the sun when drying, and dry naturally in a ventilated environment to prevent the fabric from hardening and yellowing.
Storage precautions:
Ensure that the fabric is dry and ventilated during storage, and avoid being squeezed by heavy objects to keep its shape stable.
Ironing tips:
When ironing, choose a lower temperature and cover the fabric with an iron cloth to avoid deformation caused by direct contact with high temperature.
4. Other suggestions
Regular replacement and inspection:
The fabric of the sofa used for a long time may be deformed or wrinkled due to wear and aging. Regularly check and replace the severely worn fabric parts in time to maintain the overall beauty and comfort of the sofa.
Avoid excessive force:
When using the sofa, avoid sitting in the same position for a long time or applying excessive pressure to reduce local wear and deformation of the fabric.
